SWIM

System-Wide Information Management (SWIM) by definion is a Standards, infrastructure and governance enabling the management of ATM-related information and its exchange between qualified parties via interoperable services.


The System Wide Information Management (SWIM) enables seamless information access and interchange between all providers and users of ATM information and services. It takes information management business practices from the ICT sector, and the use of open standards and web technologies, and it applies them to ATM. SWIM will enable Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM) in providing the most efficient use of airspace, managing air traffic around weather, and increasing common situational awareness on the ground.



CAAM SWIM Service

CAAM as a Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia is providing the SWIM information as one of the services. The information provided covers the essential information needed by aviation industry for its operation, procedures and knowledge based, for example Flight Plan, Departure, Arrival, Weather Information and etc.

  • Loose system coupling – minimize barriers between systems and applications
